spend， pay， cost， take都表示“花费”，它们有什么区别

　　Spend的主语常为“人”，常见搭配有：“sb. spend 时间/金钱 on sth.”或者“sb. spend 时间/金钱 in doing sth.”如：
　　1）I spend about ￥150 on books every month. 我每个月花大约150元买书。
　　2）He spends about 30 minutes in practicing basketball every day. 他每天花大约30分钟练习篮球。
　　Pay的主语也常为“人”，常与for搭配：“sb. pay （sb.）金钱for sth.”如：
　　3）I paid him ￥300 for the bike. 我付给他300元，买下了这辆自行车。
　　而cost的主语常为“事物”，常见用法为：“sth. cost sb. 金钱”。如：
　　4）That book cost me ￥28. 那本书花了我28元。
　　注意领悟下面两句中cost的含义：
　　5）The mistake cost him his job. 这个错误使他失去了工作。
　　6）Careless driving cost him his life. 开车时粗心大意使他丧生。
　　Take常用于“It takes sb. some time to do sth.”句型中，如：
　　7）It takes me 20 minutes to go to school by subway every day. 我每天要花20分钟乘地铁上学。
　　另外，这4个动词的过去式和过去分词都是不规则变化形式：spend/spent/ spent；pay/paid/paid；cost/cost/cost；take/took/taken，需用心记忆。
